Shining Bright Despite the Plight.

Here they come,
see the flags fighting against the wind.
It is a song for our Brothers,
and our Uncles who have come too
close to our Mothers.
See our waves,
of mutilated skin.
And of regret against
those who seek mercy,
but never return the favor.

Those who sing softly never are heard.
But those who talk too swiftly are revered.
And those who no longer seek forgiveness for their sins,
find it anyways.
To the uncertain feet of those who
waver under the bright lights.
And the all seeing eye of those who
only worship the sun.

Joy never comes to those who can
no longer sit still.
And so I run,
Run to you.
Never find me.
Still searching for it.

The secret life can wait,
as long as reality doesn’t exist.
And time will only fly by,
as long as the birds do not have wings to dip into the water.
The old will never pass as long as there is money to be had,
and cookies to made.

Patience is no longer a virtue of mine,
but a passing thought,
a fleeting lie.

Recognition to the magnificent,
and the weak in spirit.
Keep your heart,
and only lick the eyeballs of the depraved.
The sick who steal chairs,
can only listen three times.
My body is ready to be had by you.
But only when the night has met the queen.
And have won her many red hearts,
and have irritated her mind,
and blackened her fingernails with little white pills.
Go home.

The ignorant never chose to hear
the movements of those who,
can only try to write down their floating thoughts.
Mindless wisdom that goes away like
filled balloons.

Restless legs that chase sleep
and slipping tongues.
Losing their muscles to
exerted kissing
and excessive eating.

To the ones who bring notebooks to class,
only to draw spoils of the rain.
To the ones who can no longer see what is ahead of them.
Turn back the clocks,
cut off your hair
and the split ends of your pride.
It comes before a fall,
and before winter arrives to kill the leaves.

It is happening.
Something is definitely happening.
